A day tardy this week… But, today, I turn a day older :-). I’ve entered the age where I get even more travel discounts :-), as long as I request it. I’m now officially in the seniors category. 60 years of life, 45 years of traveling in an airplane. Exciting times.

I’m chilling somewhere as I type. I like quiet birthdays, so I’m either flying or doing absolutely mindless things. This drives my friends crazy!

Midweek Flights Are Your Summer Advantage

Now that summer travel is almost upon us and students are heading home, weekends will get slammed with leisure and family travel. If you're non-revving, your best bet is to aim for Tuesday or Wednesday flights, especially early in the morning or late at night. This is the norm anyways.

Why it works:

These flights tend to be less attractive to vacationers and families, meaning better seat availability.
Airport crowds are thinner midweek, making for a smoother overall experience.
You’ll have more backup options if your first flight doesn’t work out.

Pro tip: Don’t just look at final destinations—check connecting cities that are less popular this time of year for better odds.
