[Kerwin at Passrider.com] I Fell Asleep
This issue is dedicated to Paris, France. Plus, find out why the newsletter is late today.

Hi Fellow Traveler,
I hope you’re having a great week.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read my words. It is appreciated!
If you’re new to the newsletter, welcome. If you’re a regular reader, thank you so much for reading my words each week :-).
The newsletter is late this week as I totally fell asleep last night with my computer on my stomach. So sorry about this.
I was sooo tired as I attended a graduation ceremony earlier. The event took all day. It’s the season so congratulations to all the graduates. it brought back a lot of memories and the student speakers were so eloquent.
It’s great to see the youths start/complete their educational lives. Their whole future lies ahead :-). They are our future leaders.
Next week, I have a milestone birthday; I’m a quiet birthday person, but I’ll make all the fuss about someone else’s. How are you for birthdays? PS: I embrace getting older; it’s strange. Time to make sure I get all my discounts; guess I earned them :-).
In mid-June, I head to Paris for the Paris Airshow. It’s always a great show. Very tiring, but it gives me an insight into the new industry happenings and an opportunity to get some good content to share with you. You can see my coverage of the Paris Airshow 2023 here.
If the wifi is good, I’ll see if I can do some live broadcasts on YouTube. If you’d like to donate to the effort, head over to this link. Plus, I’ll be sure to send you a complimentary electronic copy of my new upcoming book, tentatively called; From Boarding to Bizarre: The Most Unforgettable Airline Experiences from Flying 204 Airlines.
Here’s a video of the A321XLR that was flown at the show for the first time I believe.

Only about 4% of U.S. pet owners have pet insurance
Pet care costs are rising, yet not enough people are doing something about it. Pet insurance can significantly offset rising costs – all for as low as $10 a month. Want to join the 4% club?
MANY THINGS ABOUT PARIS, FRANCE

Passrider Travel Tip of the Week
Avoid College Town Airports—They're Hot Right Now
With graduations happening and students flying home, airports near major universities—like Boston (BOS), Austin (AUS), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), New York (EWR, LGA, JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), and Chicago Midway (MDW) and O’Hare (ORD)—are seeing a surge in demand. Flights are tighter than usual, and non-revving can get tricky around those spots.
Instead:
Try flying into or out of secondary airports nearby (e.g., Manchester, NH instead of BOS, or Milwaukee instead of Chicago).
Look for early morning or red-eye flights, which tend to have fewer student travelers.
Be prepared for more carry-on bags and gate-checked luggage, especially on regional jets packed with students going home.
This is a great week to think a step ahead too—summer traffic is building fast!
Here’s a Paris Airshow 2023 video for you too.
