Hi {{Name|Fellow Traveler}},
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to read my words. It is appreciated! Here’s hoping you had an amazing week.
I’m currently writing two new posts about Wichita, so bear with me. They should be ready later tomorrow and I’ll send them then. I wanted to get some photos and videos posted to support them first.
Speaking of videos, here’s one of two that I’ve posted from last week’s travels; landing in IAH:
Below is a photo from the Stearman Restaurant about 20 miles north of Wichita. Here you can watch airplanes as you have a meal. Note that there is no fence at the end/beginning of the runway :-).

18 Smallest Countries in the World
Have you been to any of these countries? Which one is your favorite? Click on the image below to read the story.
UN-Limited Limit Orders in DeFi
CoW Swap limit orders offer:
Unlimited order management: Limit orders on CoW Swap are completely FREE to place or cancel. Yes, really!
Unlimited order placement: Use one crypto balance to place multiple orders at once, even if you don’t have the full amount yet. That’s useful!
Unlimited order surplus: All upside captured after a price is hit goes to you and not to order takers. As it should be!
Plus everything else you know and love about CoW Swap, like gasless trading and MEV protection.
Current Travels
If you’re traveling over the next few days, give yourself extra time at the airports as currently the U.S. government is shut down. As a result, some airports are experiencing staff shortages in the Air Traffic Control areas as well as Airport Security.
This is causing flight delays as well as longer wait times at airport security. Please be patient.
Plus, this is a Holiday weekend in the U.S. (Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day) as well as Canada (Canadian Thanksgiving). These are on Monday. This means the airport traffic will be much higher.
In addition, some airports like Houston-Intercontinental and New YorK-JFK have construction delays.
New EU Entry/Exit System (EES)
Heads up if you’re planning a trip to Europe! The new Entry/Exit System (EES) goes live on Sunday, October 12, 2025. This system is designed to track when non-EU travelers enter and leave Europe. Your details will be scanned and stored electronically; so no more passport stamps.
The rollout won’t happen everywhere at once — border checkpoints will introduce it gradually, so depending on where you fly in, you may or may not see it right away. By April 10, 2026, though, the system will be fully in place across all participating European countries.
What this means for you: expect a little extra time at immigration, especially in the early days as airports and land crossings adjust. Once it’s running smoothly, it should actually speed things up compared to the old stamp system. I’m going to miss the passport stamp though. You?
I’ll have a full blog post later as well.

✈️ Passrider Non-Rev Travel Tip of the Week
Watch for ATC Delays — Position Yourself Smartly
As mentioned above, due to the U.S. government shutdown there are air traffic control delays, flight flow restrictions, and cancellations.
How to use this to your advantage as a non-rev traveler:
Avoid over-burdened airports like Phoenix, Newark, and New York LaGuardia if possible — these are reported to be under more stress. Reuters
Use early morning departures. Delays tend to snowball later in the day when ATC gets stretched.
Always monitor flights upstream (hubs that feed into yours). A delay there could cascade to yours.
Have backup airports and routings ready if your original plan gets impacted by flow restrictions.
Travel light (carry-on only) so you can pivot quickly without waiting for checked bags.
Be patient.
