ZIPAIR
This week, I was able to check out the arrival of a new airline in Houston: ZIPAIR. It wasn’t the best day for flying into Houston as it was raining and quite windy. I even saw a Delta Air Lines A220 do a missed approach. Check out the video below:
It was still a great day to welcome the new low cost carrier to Houston. I’m working on a trip soon so hopefully that will be possibly airline number 205. I’ll keep you posted.

It’s Spring so travel is starting to pick up. The National Park Service has several days this year when the parks are free. Two have already passed and the next one is coming up in April. Check out this post for more.

Passrider Travel Tip of the Week
Use Bay Area’s Multiple Airports for Better Non-Rev Success
If you’re flying to or from San Francisco (SFO) and flights are full, don’t forget that the Bay Area has two excellent alternate airports:
✈️ Oakland International (OAK) – Just across the Bay, OAK often has lighter loads and great connections on Southwest, Alaska, and other carriers. Plus, the BART train makes getting between Oakland and San Francisco a breeze.
✈️ San Jose-Mineta International (SJC) – Located south of San Francisco, SJC is a great option if flights out of SFO are packed. It’s well-connected to downtown SF via the Caltrain and VTA to BART.
By keeping an eye on flights from all three Bay Area airports (SFO, OAK, SJC), you increase your chances of getting a seat and make your non-rev journey much smoother.
