Hi Fellow Traveler,

I hope you’re having a great week.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my words. It is appreciated!

If you’re new to the newsletter, welcome. If you’re a regular reader, thank you so much for reading my words each week :-).

It’s trying times if you’re flying out of Newark Airport due to Air Traffic Control issues. So, if you don’t have to fly out of Newark, then don’t. There’s always been ATC issues with flying into NYC, but it’s gotten a bit out of hand over the last week or so.

Seek alternate airports if possible and then take a train. Except that NJ Transit Trains are currently on strike. You can take Amtrak or the NJ Transit Buses though if you arrive in Newark and wish to get into Manhattan.

Non-rev travel may be a bit difficult as its the graduation season as well as students returning home at the end of the semester.

What’s been going on with you? Hit reply and let me know.

Passrider Travel Tip of the Week

Travel to Secondary European Cities for Easier Access

When trying to get to Europe, don’t just aim for the big names like London, Paris, or Rome—those flights often fill up fast, especially during spring travel season. Instead, look at secondary European cities that have solid train or low-cost carrier connections.

For example:

  • Fly into Brussels, Zurich, or Milan instead of Paris.

  • Land in Shannon, Belfast, or even Edinburgh instead of Dublin or London.

  • Once in Europe, use Eurail, FlixBus, or Ryanair/EasyJet to reach your final destination.

You’ll often find better seat availability and enjoy a more relaxed entry into Europe.

Bonus: You might discover a new favorite city along the way!
