It’s tough to see how these wildfires in LA are affecting so many people, some of whom have lost their lives (condolences to the families). If you’d like to help, here are some organizations providing much-needed support:

• American Red Cross: Visit redcross.org, or call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) or texting the word CAWILDFIRES to 90999 to make a donation. Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these disasters.

• GoFundMe: - https://www.gofundme.com/en-gb/c/act/donate-to-california-wildfires-and-help-those-in-need. Be careful of scammers.

• The LA Fire Department - https://lafd.org/news/wildfire-donations-your-generosity-inspiring. You can drop off things people may need.

If you or someone you know is affected go to DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362 for initial assistance. Also, you may call the LA County Department of Mental Health's 24/7 helpline at 1-800-854-7771 if you feel the need to do so.
