[Kerwin at Passrider.com] What The World's Longest Flight? | Updated Inexpensive Transatlantic Flights List | Neck Pillows?

This week, I take a look at the longest flight in the world and a document update you must have to fly, and I revisit the 14 longest flights across the Atlantic, plus I did a video about neck pillows

Hi Fellow Traveler,

I hope you’re having a great week.

If you’re new to the newsletter, welcome. If you’re a regular reader, thank you so much for reading my words each week :-).

It’s Good Friday, so Happy Easter and Passover if you celebrate either.

There is an issue with the flight search from and to cities area. It’s now partially fixed so you can properly search by city code as well as country. Searching by the city name is not yet working properly, so stay tuned. Thanks for your patience.

NECK PILLOWS

Let’s talk about neck pillows. Are you a fan? I did a video here, let me know what you think.

Well, it’s time to update this list once more. The airlines re always trying to oneup each other these days. Here’s the latest list. Have you flown any of them as yet? The most recent one I flew was Dallas to Sydney on Qantas and that’s not even the longest one :-). Click on the image below.

REAL-ID

Real ID will be here on May 7, 2025. This means that your government-issued ID must have certain traits in order for you to travel (fly) domestically in the U.S. You can see the new rules at https://www.dhs.gov/real-id. If you do not have a REAL ID then you can use your passport to travel. There are also other select documents you can use as well.

I’ve just updated this list so you have the latest on your transatlantic flight options. I should do one for the Pacific as well. What do you think?

The number remains at 14, but we’ve had one airline stopped its flights and a new one started. Click on the image below to se the updated list.

Passrider Travel Tip of the Week

Monitor Weather in Multiple Cities—Even Ones You’re Not Flying To

As spring storms start rolling in across the U.S., delays and cancellations can pop up unexpectedly—even if the weather’s sunny where you are. This week especially, keep an eye on weather patterns in major hubs like Chicago-O’Hare (ORD), Denver (DEN), Atlanta (ATL), and Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW), since a disruption there can ripple across the entire network.

If you’re non-revving:

  • Check METAR/TAF or use weather apps to track weather at your departure, destination, and key hubs.

  • Have alternate routes ready in case flights are delayed or aircraft are repositioned.

  • Monitor flights a few hours ahead of yours—if they cancel, your flight might be next.

Being weather-aware gives you a strategic edge when loads are tight and operations are unpredictable.

Here’s a new video for you too; I went to the Houston Art Car Parade last Saturday:
