Let’s talk about the cost of food in airports for a bit. It’s just insane. I was in Kingston, Jamaica and water was six times the cost at the airport over the grocery store. Where have you seen excessive food cost at airports?

Spring Break is just about over for most and soon it will be another Holiday, Easter and Passover. So the flight loads will be high again for those of you that are airline employees. So watch the loads and plan accordingly.

Travel on the Holiday for the Best Shot at a Seat

As Easter and Passover approach, flights before and after the holidays tend to be full—but the actual holiday days themselves (like Easter Sunday or the first night of Passover) often have lighter loads.

Most travelers prefer to be at their destination by the holiday, not flying on it. That’s your sweet spot. Look for flights:

  • ✈️ Early Easter morning

  • ✈️ Late Sunday evening

  • ✈️ The day of or after the first Seder

You’ll avoid the pre-holiday rush and improve your chances of getting a seat. Just pack a little extra patience—and maybe a snack in case airport dining options are limited on the holiday.
