Tip of the Week: Leverage Status Matches to Upgrade Your Travel Experience

As you know many airlines and hotels offer status match or status challenge program. If you have elite status with one loyalty program, you can often match it with another, allowing you to enjoy elite benefits without starting from scratch.

How to Get Started:

1. Research Available Status Matches:

   • Visit the websites of airlines or hotels you're interested in to see if they offer status match programs.

   • Use resources like StatusMatcher.com to find current offers and user experiences.

   • Or you can scroll down in this newsletter as I have a list here :-).

2. Gather Documentation:

   • Prepare proof of your existing elite status, such as membership cards or account screenshots showing your status level and activity. As you will be asked for some kind of proof.

3. Submit Your Request:

   • Follow the specific instructions provided by the airline, cruise line or hotel, which may include filling out an online form or emailing their customer service.

4. Complete Any Requirements:

   • Some programs may offer immediate temporary status, which becomes permanent after you meet certain travel criteria within a set period.

Pro Tip: Time Your Match Wisely

• Initiate your status match when you have upcoming travel plans that align with any challenge requirements. This maximizes the benefits period and ensures you meet necessary criteria without extra trips.
