[Kerwin at Passrider.com] 100+ Free Things to Do In NYC | Global Entry Fee Increase Coming

I talk about 100+ free things to do in NYC and Global Entry fees are going up

Hi Fellow Traveler,

I hope you had a fantastic week.

It’s heating up here in Houston and it’s only the beginning of Spring; oh boy!

On Monday, is a big solar event; a solar eclipse, and there’s a lot of buzz around it. Will you be viewing it somewhere? Have you ever seen an eclipse? FYI, there was a lunar eclipse last Sunday.

I’ve listed some airports where you might view the eclipse in its totality.

And remember if you’re thinking of booking an adult cruise, head over to Virgin Voyages.

How are things in your neck of the woods?

Here’s what I have for you this week.

If you’re looking for a new newsletter service, the one I’m using is called beehiiv. Check it out.

This Week’s Aviation/Airline News

Here are some newsworthy items in aviation this week. It would seem like every day, something is happening to an airplane:

I love New York City. So I did a post with 100+ free things you can do while visiting the city.

Some of these I’ve done while others are on my list for my next trip. One that most never do, is visit the New York Public Library; trust me when I say, there is a treasure trove of things to do here.

Global Entry Price Increase

If you’re not familiar, Global Entry is a program administered by the U.S. government. It allows you to enter the U.S. much easier once you’re approved. It’s a lengthy application process where you are asked where you have visited for several years among other questions.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is just as important as booking your flights and your hotel; it’s a part of the journey. it gives you peace of mind when you travel. At least, it does for me. That’s why I have an annual policy. Consider getting travel insurance for every trip or an annual policy. you don’t need it until you need it.

Note: If you purchase travel insurance via this link, I receive a small commission. Thank you in advance.

Travel Credit Cards

If you use credit cards, then consider getting a card that gives you points for every dollar you spend. This will ensure that you can travel almost for free when you are ready.

Here are a few travel offers that came to my mailbox.

Note: I will receive points as a commission if you apply for and is approved for any of these cards. Thank you in advance.

Chase IHG MasterCard Offer
One way to get hotel points is to get one of these massive credit card offers. Chase has a current offer for 4 FREE nights; this is pretty epic as it's usually about 40K+/night if you stay in popular cities. This is a great deal and you should at least check it out. I also get some miles if you get a card, so we both could win.
