Today’s city is Hong Kong, home of Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) and one of my favorite Asian cities to visit. It’s the next highest one you all voted for.

I’ve visited Hong Kong many times, even spent one New Year’s Eve and New Year’s there. It’s a beautiful city with so much to do and see or just wander aimlessly. My favorite thing to do is to walk up to The Peak.

You can of course take the tram if you’d like or a local bus. But walking up is therapeutic and so scenic. Note walking down is very tiresome; much more than walking up, so be prepared.

Hong Kong has a way of dazzling you with an energetic blend of cultural heritage, modernity, and natural beauty.

The city's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Victoria Peak, offers breathtaking views complemented by quiet islands and green spaces which are just a ferry ride away.

11. Kai Tak Runway Park/Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Park: The place where KaiTak airport once stood is now a park and a cruise terminal worthy of your visit

12. Checkerboard Hill: Hike up to see where the checkerboard for the old Kai Tak airport with spectacular city views.
