12 things to do in Singapore
Hi,
I hope you are enjoying this series so far. Today’s city is Singapore, it’s the next highest one you all voted for.
Singapore is a city I’ve visited several times. I never tire of the city as there are so many things to do. I even spent New Year’s Eve there a few years ago. I’ve also flown the world’s longest flight twice from Newark to Singapore once on the A340-500 and again on the A350-900ULR, both flown by Singapore Airlines (SQ).
Fun story: I was on a Singapore flight one year during my birthday. The flight attendant came over and brought me a cake and a little note saying Happy Birthday. I mean, how cool is that?
The following airlines serve the main airport, Singapore-Changi International (SIN) and it’s the home for Singapore Airlines (SQ), a Star Alliance member. Singapore Airlines is also my favorite airline:
Air Asia (AK), Air Caledonie International (SB), Air Canada (AC), Air China (CA), Air France (AF), Air India (AI), Air India Express (IX), Air Macau (NX), Air New Zealand (NZ), All Nippon Airlines (NH), Asiana Airlines (OZ), Avianca (AV), BS, Bangkok Airways (PG), Batik Air (ID), Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG), British Airways (BA), Cathay Pacific Airways (CX), Cebu Pacific Air (5J), China Airlines (CI), China Eastern Airlines (MU), China Southern Airlines (CZ), Citilink Indonesia (QG), EVA Airways (BR), Emirates (EK), Ethiopian Airlines (ET), Etihad Airways (EY), Fiji Airways (FJ), Finnair (AY), Garuda Indonesia (GA), Gulf Air (GF), Hainan Airlines (HU), IndiGo Airlines (6E), Indonesia Air Asia (QZ), Japan Airlines (JL), Jeju Air (7C), Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), Juneyao Airlines (HO), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL), Korean Airlines (KE), Lufthansa German Airlines (LH), Malaysia Airlines (MH), Philippine Airlines (PR), Qantas (QF), Qatar Airways (QR), Royal Brunei Airlines (BI), SL, Saudia Airlines (SV), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH), Sichuan Airlines (3U), Singapore Airlines (SQ), South African Airways (SA), Spring Airlines (9C), SriLankan (UL), Starlux Airlines (JX), Swiss Airlines (LX), T'way Air, TAP Portugal (TP), TOR Air (OD), Thai Airways (TG), Thai Asia Airways (FD), Tiger Airways (TR), Turkish Airlines - Star Alliance (TK), United Airlines (Star Alliance) (UA), VietJet Air (VJ), Vietnam Airlines (VN) and Xiamen Air (MF).
There is a train and buses that run from the airport to downtown Singapore, so be sure and check that out too.
At the airport is a plus attraction as you can see the Jewel, which is an indoor garden with a huge water spout in it.
Here are 12 amazing things to do in Singapore:
Gardens by the Bay: Explore the iconic Supertree Grove, Cloud Forest, and Flower Dome. The place is known for its futuristic architecture and sustainable practices. And it’s a sight to see.
Marina Bay: Visit the Marina Bay Sands complex, which includes the Science Museum, Casino, and various shopping, dining, and nightlife option, and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel with its 360-degree panoramic views.
