This Week, Let's Head to Jerez de la Frontera, Spain | My Wheelchair Nightmare Experience

In partnership with

Hi Fellow Traveler,

I hope you had a fantastic week.

If you’re new to the newsletter, welcome. If you’re a regular reader, thank you for your support.

Hope everything will get back to normal as soon as possible for those affected by Hurricane Helene.

I’m back from my Fall colors trip, although I was too early so didn’t see many Fall colors. Plus it was a cloudy day.

Despite all that though, It was a beautiful drive in the hills of Pennsylvania though. And some areas were much better than others at showing off their Fall colors.

I did fly the American Airlines bus from Philly. It was O.K. They have no American Airlines crew onboard, there’s just a driver. There’s no refreshment or anything. The driver says hello, a quick review and you’re off. Full review coming soon. Just bare-bones service.

I also had some wheelchair issues on one of the flight segments and so I did a video about it as, the airline really needs to address it. I’ve tried to make a report and I’m still waiting to hear back from them to make the report. I was told they’d get back to me today, but that has not happened.

Here’s the video:

THINGS TO DO IN JEREZ de la FRONTERA, SPAIN

I visited Jerez back in 2015. I really enjoyed this town in the southern part of Spain. It is actually the home of sherry.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

A dear friend of mine recently fell ill while on holiday and, unfortunately, didn’t have travel insurance. She had to pay out of pocket for a doctor and nurse to visit her at home for treatment.

Thankfully, after four days, she recovered enough to fly back home for further care.

This experience is a reminder that travel insurance is as essential as booking your flights and hotel—it’s a crucial part of your journey. It offers peace of mind when you’re on the road, which is why I always carry an annual policy.

Consider getting travel insurance for each trip or an annual plan. You never know when you’ll need it—until you do.

Note: If you purchase travel insurance via this link, I receive a small commission. Thank you in advance.
