Hi {{Name|Fellow Traveler}},

✈️ Pilots Needed: Fly With Purpose for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games

In June 2026, something special is happening in the skies — and on the ground.

The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games are coming to Minnesota, bringing together thousands of athletes from all 50 states to compete, connect, and celebrate inclusion.

And there’s a powerful way pilots and other volunteers can help get them there.

🕊️ How I Learned About This Program

When I visited Textron Aviation in Wichita — the Air Capital of the World last year — one of the things that genuinely stuck with me wasn’t an aircraft or a spec sheet; although they were cool :-).

It was a conversation about service.

That’s where they told me about DOVE Airlift — a program where pilots volunteer their time and aircraft to help transport Special Olympics athletes, coaches, and officials to major events like the 2026 USA Games.

No PR spin.
No sales pitch.
Just aviation being used for something that actually matters.

✈️ What Is DOVE Airlift?

DOVE Airlift connects volunteer pilots with Special Olympics organizations to help safely and efficiently move participants to and from events.

This is general aviation at its best:

  • Flexible

  • Personal

  • Human

🎥 This short video explains the program far better than I ever could:

📍 Event Snapshot: Why This Matters

  • Dates: June 20–26, 2026

  • Host Region: Twin Cities, Minnesota

  • Key Venues:

    • University of Minnesota

    • National Sports Center

  • Who’s Coming:

    • 3,000+ athletes

    • 1,500 coaches

    • 10,000 volunteers

This is one of the largest inclusive sporting events in the U.S. — and transportation is a huge piece of making it all work.

🧭 Who Should Consider Volunteering?

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Hold a valid pilot certificate

  • Have access to a suitable GA aircraft

  • Want to use aviation for something bigger than life

You don’t need to fly every day.
You don’t need turbine time.
You just need the willingness to help.

🙌 Why I’m Sharing This With You

Aviation professionals understand logistics, responsibility, and showing up when it counts.

This is a chance to:

  • Use your aircraft for good

  • Be part of something nationally meaningful

  • Create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for athletes who’ve earned every mile

Some of the most important flights never have a flight number.

If this resonates with you — or someone you fly with — I hope you’ll take a look. Please share with other pilots.

This is aviation at its absolute best. 💙
