Hi {{Name|Fellow Traveler}},
I hope you had a good week. Thank you for reading my work each week. I have some new readers, so welcome.
This weekend, most of the U.S. and Canada spring forward one hour. We keep this up until November 1.
Growing up in rural Jamaica had its character-building moments. One of my greatest fears was falling into the outdoor pit toilet — so when people talk about "getting close to nature" I'm like... I lived it, no thank you lol. I need a hotel room!
But that same community — the one that shaped me, pit toilets and all — is still rebuilding from Hurricane Melissa. And right now they need our help.
We're at $120. Help me get to $500 by Sunday.
$12 buys one 8-foot sheet of zinc roofing. That's less than an airport meal these days. We need quite a few sheets of zinc.
Zinc sheets mend the roof
A village I called my own
Help bring it back home
Every dollar counts — even $5 adds up fast when enough of us show up.
And please share with at least two people who love Jamaica.

As you navigate around Middle East travel closures, the flight schedule will give you all the possible routings and if you’re flying through the Middle East, check the airline’s websites for the latest openings. Here’s a list of the airline’s information. Check the airlines not in this region but that serve the region, as they will have information as well. It’s essential that you check your bookings to ensure that your email address and correct phone number is in the reservation:

Explore Peru with purpose
See Peru through the eyes of the women who call it home on Intrepid’s brand-new Women’s Expedition.
With an expert local leader out front and a small group of like-minded travellers by your side, this trip gives you a unique insight into Peru’s culture and traditions.
Part of Intrepid’s Women’s expedition range, this eight-day adventure has been thoughtfully designed to support local women in tourism while delivering immersive experiences specifically for women travellers.
You’ll traverse the lesser-known Chinchero to Urquillos trail in the Peruvian Andes alongside an all-female crew, spend time in an Andean village learning about daily life, take part in a traditional textile workshop led by local women and experience a spiritual cleansing ritual guided by a female shaman.
If you’ve not done so already, remember to sign up for Flight Loads, (https://flightloads.passrider.com), my new anonymous load-sharing service. And spread the word, please.

✈️ Passrider Non-Rev Travel Tip of the Week
Expect Route Disruptions from Global Events
With ongoing tensions in the Middle East and recent security concerns in Mexico, airlines are adjusting routes and capacity on the fly. Combined with Easter travel and March Madness tournament cities, this creates unpredictable load patterns.
What's happening: Flights may be rerouted, cancelled, or consolidated with little notice. Passengers displaced from affected routes are rebooking onto alternate flights, creating unexpected loads on previously open flights. Tournament host cities (especially final four locations) will see sudden spikes in demand.
Action step: Check your loads the morning of travel, not just the night before. Have a backup routing ready that avoids both hot-spot destinations and tournament cities. If your flight gets cancelled due to route changes, get to the airport or call immediately—displaced revenue passengers will flood the next available flights.
