Hi {{Name|Fellow Traveler}},

It's Tuesday again, and time for a video or two or three :-).

This week everything comes from one airport — Washington Dulles. I had some time on the ground there and kept finding things worth filming. Including one that won't be around much longer.

Oh, remember to try OA Flight Loads at https://flightloads.passrider.com; we're building momentum.

FEATURED VIDEO

If you've connected through Dulles, you've probably ridden one of these without giving it a second thought. The mobile lounges — those strange raised buses that haul you from the terminal out to the aircraft — are on their way out.

So I rode one and filmed it before they're gone for good. You can too from D to A and back :-).

Please leave a comment on the video and let me know your thoughts.

MORE FROM DULLES

Three more from the same trip, all short — pick whichever grabs you:

A small non-rev note while we're here: if you get re-routed through IAD and your gate is one of the mobile lounge ones, don't treat it like a normal walk to the gate. Give yourself the extra minutes. Or you can take the train if you prefer.

And if you want something a little slower, I also put up a morning walk through Dublin before the crowds show up — Dame Street to Trinity College.

Everything else is on the channel.

I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?

You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.

Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?

Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.

The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.

That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.

Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.

Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.

If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.
